Lynne Stuver Baker ’64

Lynne Stuver Baker is a member of the college's Board of Trustees and chair of the Advancement Committee. She earned her associate of arts from Christian College in 1964, followed by her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Missouri in 1966 and master’s degree in counseling and guidance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1973. She also earned a bachelor's degree in social work at the University of Central Missouri in 1996 before finishing an additional master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas in 1998.

Lynne served on the Columbia College Alumni Association Board of Directors (now Advisory Council) from 1991 to 2018, acting as the board's first vice president from 1993 to 1995 before serving as president from 1995 to 1997 and the alumni representative to the Board of Trustees from 1997 to 2006. In 2018, she received the CCAA Distinguished Alumni Award and was named an advisor emerita of the CCAA Advisory Council.

Lynne operates a part-time life counseling service, Heart to Heart Counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Missouri and Kansas.
